In addition, AI infused applications with highly autonomous components increase uncertainty, necessitating further testing of interactions between the multiple models and the automated software. As a result, testers will be forced to cope with a variety of nondeterministic use scenarios. Testing with increasing levels of uncertainty becomes more difficult, combinatorial, and costly to automate. Testing deployed AI applications in production has become far more important than in the domain of autonomous software.
